Description:
After watching every single video on YouTube about dying hair from red to blonde (and some black or brown to blonde) I think it's only fair to share my own experience/reassurance in case anyone wants to do a similar thing. Before dying my hair red it had been highlighted blonde at the hairdressers for about 6 years. I didn't realise how hard it would be to remove the red until it was too late. Three different hair dresser consultations estimated the procedure to cost at least $200 Canadian depending on how many bleaches I needed. So after a lot of research I decided to risk it and try to strip my hair myself. And I am so glad I did - even after the scares from each hair dresser telling me my hair would break off. Just don't overdo it and remember to do a strand test at each stage! Products used: Joico K-PAK reconstructor ($10) Colour Oops extra conditioning ($16) L'Oreal Blondissma ($13) Garnier Nutrisse Light Ash Blonde ($7) Nice n Easy Medium Ash Blonde ($12) Song: Pogo -Alice Note: I am not a professional I just thought I would share my experience in case someone finds it useful
Video duration: 3 min.

i have a question. My natural hair color is really ashy too and id love to get it back to that tone, but you know how those ash hair colors tend to go green? Do you think if my hair still had some red tones to it after bleaching that it would cancel out the green a little and maybe turn some neutral blonde? Usually when I use an ash color its a greenish mess.

Do you have any recommendations for the best and strongest lightener? I have natural red hair and it's really stubborn. When I go to a salon for highlights, they usually do three rounds of bleaching and three washes with toner and it still won't be as light as i wanted, so I just want to do it myself. I always leave my lightener on the max hour and follow up with toner as well as the purple shampoo... but it never fails that the red tone stays lol
